I am facing the below error as soon run the workflow manager from SharePoint 2013.
I found out that by default, the Workflow Manager Config wizard adds I workflow Service Application Proxy in Central Admin by itself. So when I registered the service, I ended up with 2 proxies. The solution I got is to delete both proxies and re-run the Register-SPWorkflowService command with the -force attribute. Similar Messages. Register-SPWorkflowService error: The underlying connection was closed. I have a three server workflow manager farm. I'm using hardware load balancing across the three servers. Http request failed with status code 'ConnectFailure' and status message: 'Unable to connect to the remote server'.' It's been doing my head in because nothing has changed on my web server that could've caused this and my code is written so it will only send a 200 status code unless the token in the URL is incorrect, in that case it will return.
I ran the below command which game me error. Register-SPWorkflowService -SPSite '-WorkflowHostUri '-AllowOAuthHttp -Force. Register-SPWorkflowService: Unable to connect to the remote service at See InnerException for more details. Register-SPWorkflowService: Timeout Issue. Register-SPworkflowservice unable to connect to the remote service at Workflow Manager 2016. Register Workflow Service Over HTTPs Register-SPWorkflowService -SPSite -WorkflowHostUri https://WorkflowURL:12290-SPSite.
System.InvalidOperationException: Operation failed with error Microsoft.Workflow.Client.WorkflowEndpointNotFoundException: Unable to connect to the remote service at http://localhost:12291/SharePoint/default/a45de691-5a73-4b03-b662-880d0b9ae293. Hi ,
For troubleshooting your issue, pleasetake steps as below:
1.Go to IIS, verify that the Workflow Management Site application which contains two special port: 12290 and 12291 was created correctly.
2.As you want to configure the Workflow Manage using HTTP, make sure enable AllowOAuthHttp as below:
Register-SPWorkflowService-SPSitehttp://yoursite-WorkflowHostUri http://localhost:12291-AllowOAuthHttp
Best Regards,
Eric
